Then you may be interested in our Underqualified Teaching Assistant Employment Academy.
The Underqualified Teaching Assistant Employment Academy will qualify temporary employed Teaching Assistants within Derry City and Strabane District Council (DCSDC), enabling them to apply for more secured/permanent positions within the Education Authority.
The Underqualified Teaching Assistant Employment Academy will deliver the following qualification to eligabile participants:
- Level 3 Diploma in Supported Teaching and Learning
Start Date
- Registrations onto this academy is now opened
- Due to start in January 2025
Eligibility
Eligible participants for the Underqualified Teaching Assistants Employment Academy include those who are:
- Currently temporary employed as a Teaching Assistant, however, do not have an eligible qualification to apply for a permanent/more secure position within the Education Authority
- working age resident of Derry City and Strabane District Council
- have no, or low qualifications
- have the right to work in the UK
- are not participating on any other initiative that would exclude them from a DSLMP Programme (time, commitment, etc.)
- are committed to fully participating in the programme, post programme support and mentoring, post programme evaluation etc.
