WHSCT Hospitality Employment Academy
This is a great opportunity to start work within the Western Health Social Care Trust (WHSCT) as a Support Service Assistant in Housekeeping, Catering, Laundry.
The WHSCT Hospitality Employment Academy will furnish residents of Derry City and Strabane District Council (DCSDC) with the confidence, employability skills, qualifications, and support required to take up employment within the WHSCT as a Support Service Assistant in Housekeeping, Catering, Laundry.
The WHSCT Hospitality Employment Academy will delivery:
-Employability training and support:
- confidence building
- transversal skills inc. previous experiences, communication, team working, resilience etc.
- personal presentation, CV development, application form completion, interview techniques, job maintenance etc.
-Qualifications and training:
- Customer Service (World Host) Level 2.
- Food Hygiene Level 2
- Health and Safety Level 2
- Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations
- Basic food prep
-Pre-employment checks support and guidance
-6 months ongoing employment retention support post-employment
Eligibility
Eligible participants for the WHSCT Hospitality Employment Academy include those who are:
- working age resident of Derry City and Strabane District Council
- have no, or low qualifications
- have the right to work in the UK
- are not participating on any other initiative that would exclude them from a DSLMP Programme (time, commitment, etc.)
- are committed to fully participating in the programme, post programme support and mentoring, post programme evaluation etc.
