Succeed in Enterprise
Succeed in Enterprise programme offers support into employment through business start-up / self-employment / sole trader / social enterprise etc.
The Succeed in Enterprise Programme will offer business support/training to each participant through:
- Workshops
- Masterclasses
- Business Planning
- Mentoring
- Training
- Financial incentives (£750)
- This this not an exhaustive list
Wrap around mentoring and support will be delivered to alleviate barriers in starting and sustaining a business. Such support will be:
- a minimum of 40 hours of one-to-one mentoring in developing a business
- address skills gaps and personal development requirements
- to achieve a level of ability, to access follow on provisions such as Go Succeed
- accessing mainstream enterprise provisions
- ongoing support is to be provided to each business for up to 6 months from the commencement of trading
Eligibility
The Succeed in Enterprise programme is aimed at residents of Derry City and Strabane who:
- are economically inactive
- not eligible to access mainstream provisions
- require enhanced levels of support from what mainstream provision can deliver. This includes (not exclusively) people with a disability.
- working age resident of Derry City and Strabane District Council
- have the right to work in the UK
- are not participating on any other initiative that would exclude them from a DSLMP Programme (time, commitment, etc.)
- are committed to fully participating in the programme, post programme support and mentoring, post programme evaluation etc.
