Childminding Academy
Derry and Strabane Labour Market Partnership are offering fully funded places on this employability academy to support you through the childminding registration and approval process.
Successful applicants will receive a package of training, support and resources delivered by the Northern Ireland Childminding Association (NICMA) to help in becoming a registered childminder or approved home childcarer. Academy participants will receive the following training and support:
- Core Training
- Health & Safety
- Safeguarding Children
- Paediatric First Aid (9 hours)
- Starter pack and publications
- Business Training
- One year of NICMA membership
- Additional post registration support
Eligibility
Eligible participants must meet the following criteria:
- Resident of Derry City and Strabane District Council
- Over the age of 18 years
- Committed and able to fully participate in all aspects of the Academy
- Have the right to work in the UK
