Joe McDonald

Joe McDonald is a legend in fly tying in the Northwest of Ireland and further afield and has been tying flies commercially for over 60 years.  Joe is responsible for flies like the Mourne Gold and many of the shrimp flies that are staples of many a fly boxes.

Joe has been there from the beginning of shrimp flies when only natural materials were available and creativity was key. He continued this trend right to the present day inventing many patterns as new materials have become available.
