Jacob Griffin

Jacob is a keen angler and Fly Tier and from a young age could be found along the local rivers River Mourne and Rive Finn with his Grandad John teaching him all the skills of salmon and trout fishing. Jacob has been tying from 10 years of age and enjoys tying for all disciples of fishing for Lough, Lake & River.

Jacob has excelled over the years winning many a local competition and most recently winning Gold Medal as part of the Youth Irish Team in England.  

2023 
•    Gold medal achievement for team Ireland at the Four Nations Youth International Trout Fly Fishing Under 18 in Wales – part of the ITFFA youth team that represented Ireland  
•    Winner of the Lake & River Interprovincial – part of the TAFI Ulster Youth team 
•    Master of Mongorry Champion
2024
•    TAFI Ulster Youth Lake Champion
•    FIPS-MOUCHE World Youth Fly Fishing – part of the Irish Team that represented Ireland on the World Stage in Czech Republic 2024 
•    Winners of the Lake Interprovincial - part of the TAFI Ulster Youth team

Jacob has been selected to be part of a 5-member youth team to represent Ireland at the FIPS-MOUCHE World Youth Fly Fishing - World Championship in Idaho Falls, USA.
