Who is Maureen McGhee?

Maureen McGhee resides and works in Derry as a producer of handmade jewellery, artwork and cards. She designs her own jewellery using silver and silver plated wire to wrap around semi precious stones - known as the "Tuscany Collection."

What will Maureen McGhee be providing at the Guildhall Craft Fair 2024?

This year, Maureen's display will include her popular 'Fire Collection' of naturally coloured copper jewellery, earrings, pendants and bangles. Maureen will also be introducing the 'Up-cycled Copper Jewellery Collection' in soft tones of olive greens and browns. Her 'Derry Quay' jewellery collection will also see it's launch at the Guildhall Craft Fair. This collection involves sterling silver combined with copper or bronze metal clay and is influenced in design by the landscape and history of Derry's Quays. Maureen will also be retailing natural oak bookmarks and original designs burned onto the wood, and handmade cards using the embossing technique of Repoussé.
