Co-Design Workshops

Open Invite to PEACEPLUS Theme 1.1 DCSD Council Phase 2 Co-design workshops.

Derry City and Strabane District Council have been engaged since April 2022 in the Co-design process for Theme 1.1 of the PEACEPLUS Programme. Phase 1 public/community workshops in May/June/July engaged approximately 200 participants from over 130 organisations across the city and district. 95 Concept Forms from 62 organisations were received for the 19^th August deadline which closed Phase 1 of the Co-design process. Engagement with the co-design process has been excellent.

SEUPB has confirmed that DCSDC has an allocation to bid for €9,254,427 (estimated £7,763,631) with relevant cross-community projects. The total ‘ask’ on Concept forms from the council area was almost 4 times the available budget for the bid. The bid is to be submitted in ‘early 2023’.

Phase 2 of the Co-Design process will focus on going back to the community with the collective ideas and prioritising the best fit of ideas with the programme requirements. All organisations should note this process is done in the public interest and ultimately projects included in the bid will be publicly, competitively and openly tendered/procured once funding is secured.
