Cuirfidh an bhuíon téad as Albain a mheascann seánraí, Thirteen North, i láthair oíche cheiliúrtha, ag taispeáint saothair nua le foireann iontach cumadóirí iontacha Éireannacha, Albanacha agus Sasanacha. Ar an oíche beidh an chéadléiriú de choinséartó nua don chairdín cnaipí, pianó agus téada leis an chumadóir agus taibheoir Éireannach Ryan Molloy, ina mbeidh an cumadóir ar an phianó agus Seán Ó Graham (Beoga) ar an chairdín cnaipí. Chomh maith leis seo, seinnfear trí phíosa faoi inspioráid dhaoncheol na hAlban a choimisiúnaigh an grúpa in 2023, arna gcumadh ag Pàdruig Morrison, Pippa Murphy agus Catriona Price. Beidh na léirithe ceangailte le chéile le hidircheol daoncheoil, arna sheinm ag ceoltóirí ar an stáitse.

Is é atá in Thirteen North buíon téad triúr déag atá lonnaithe in Albain, a bhunaigh na veidhleadóirí agus na comhstiúrthóirí ealaíonta Emily Davis agus Catriona Price in 2022 mar bhealach leis an cheol chlasaiceach a chur i láthair lucht féachana nua sa 21ú haois, ag cur san áireamh íogaireachtaí agus tionchair ó shaol daoncheoil thraidisiúnta na hAlban. Fiosraíonn an grúpa bealaí nua leis an cheol chlasaiceach a sheachadadh do lucht féachana nua, ag seinm in áiteanna neamhghnácha agus ag díriú ar chumarsáid le lucht féachana agus ag ceiliúradh comhoibriú idir seánraí, cultúr agus foirmeacha ealaíne.

Genre-blending Scottish string ensemble Thirteen North present a night of collaborations, showcasing new works by an exciting set of Irish, Scottish and English composers. The night will feature the premiere of a brand new concerto for button accordion, piano and strings by Irish composer and performer Ryan Molloy, featuring the composer on piano and Seán Óg Graham (Beoga) on button accordion. Alongside this, three Scottish folk-inspired pieces commissioned by the group in 2023 will be performed, composed by Pàdruig Morrison, Pippa Murphy and Catriona Price. The performances will be tied together by interludes of folk music performed by musicians on stage.

Thirteen North is a thirteen-piece string ensemble based in Scotland, founded in 2022 by violinists and Co-Artistic Directors Emily Davis and Catriona Price as a vehicle with which to bring classical music into the consciousness of new 21st Century audiences, incorporating sensibilities and influences from the Scottish traditional folk music world. The group explores new ways of delivering classical music to new audiences, performing in unusual spaces and focusing on audience communication and celebrating collaborations across genres, cultures and art forms.
