People who currently live in high-rise residential buildings* are invited by the Department for Communities’ Residential Building Safety Team to attend one of the information sessions on high-rise building safety being held on 30 & 31 January, and 1 February 2024.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR RESIDENTS?
Our work aims to protect and reassure residents by improving high-rise building safety and minimising risks. In essence we want to help ensure your home stays safe and that you feel safe in it. Further information can be found on the DfC Residential Building Safety webpage.
WHAT’S THE SESSION ABOUT?
The Department for Communities’ Residential Building Safety Team will explain their work on improving building safety in high-rise residential buildings across Northern Ireland following the Grenfell Tower fire in London. The team’s work will focus on residential building safety and in particular, fire safety issues stemming from building design, construction and ongoing operation and maintenance.

* The high-rise residential buildings included in the Residential Building Safety Team’s work will normally have four or more floors and be over 11 metres high. Further detail is available on our website/at the information sessions.
