BUILDING REGULATION
Building Control Building Control has a statutory duty to enforce building regulations and to ensure that minimum standards of Health & Safety are applied to all buildings. The main services provided by the Building Control Department are:
- Examination of applications submitted under the Building Regulations
- Inspection of building work on site
- Provision of information for Property Certificate enquiries
- Providing advice on Building Regulations and associated matters

For “Building Notice” and “Regularisation” applications only please:
1. Download and complete the application form from the link above. The interactive form can be completed and saved as a file on your computer.
2. Email to [email protected]
3. Please make it clear who will be responsible for the building control fee and Council will ring to arrange payment by credit / debit card over the phone.
4. Alternatively, the application and fee (paid by cheque) can be submitted by post. All “Full plan” applications should generally be submitted by post together with the appropriate payment by cheque.

PROPERTY CERTIFICATION APPLICATION

For “Property Certificate” applications please:
1. Download and complete the application form from the link above.
2. Email to [email protected]
3. If payment is to be by credit / debit card, Council admin staff will ring to arrange payment over the phone. Please provide a contact for this purpose.
4. Payments can also be made by BACS transfer, for details see the application form. 5. Alternatively, the application and fee (paid by cheque) can be submitted by post.
